What is this about?

We’ve Been Here is a public service campaign, focusing on various events and individuals within queer and transgender history through the form of posters to inform cisgender and heterosexual college students unfamiliar with the topic, as this allows for a deeper understanding and connection to the political events happening today. There is a current lack of education in the state of Pennsylvania regarding these subjects, and this project focuses on adressing that through student involvement and interaction. Those interested in participating in LGBTQ+ activism work are encouraged to print out the posters and materials provided by this website, then put them up around campus grounds.

Want to help?

The goal of this campaign is to bring visibility to these important people in history in order to educate as many college students as possible. While the main target audience has been Pennsylvania schools, the creator of this campaign encourages students across the world to participate by printing these flyers and placing them around their campus.

These posters are designed for an 18 x 24 print on poster paper, but can be reformatted for any medium desired. Please be responsible and respectful in your utilization and choices of location, as the point is to educate and not provoke or cause trouble.
